Question: what does tern-message in tern.el do?

I’m looking at the code for the Tern Emacs package, and I’m wondering why the tern-message function exists. All it does is call the message function with the same arguments.

Also, I’ve noticed that the file is woefully under-documented. If I were to document the functions, would that be considered a worthwhile thing to merge into the project?

It provides a way to override the way Tern outputs messages.

If you add accurate, non-redundant comments, such a pull request would definitely be merged.
